The Approach

1. Conduct the Business Monitor Review (BMR) with you – a one-hour discussion around the key compliance requirements in conducting a business and, in particular, becoming a VEDN accredited contractor. You will receive a report identifying any areas of risk so you can address any problems yourself or select one of our Business Monitor services to help.

2. We complete a final thorough check of your business compliance and VEDN requirements and then you will need to apply for certification through the accreditation body.

The Victorian Electrical Distribution Networks (VEDN) is a committee of the Victorian Electricity Supply Industry (VESI). The VEDN creates a single standard for requirements across the five Victorian Distribution Businesses. Its purpose is to certify civil contractors working in underground electrical infrastructure including excavations, boring, trenching, cable hauling, installation of conduits/ducts and installation of earthing systems.
Civil contractors seeking VEDN Accreditation must have an integrated Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management System that contains the necessary VEDN Network special requirements.
